Dickon first moved to Lewisham in 2008 and now lives locally with his wife and cat. Dickon is passionate about working for a better Bellingham. We have wonderfully industrious, hard-working and diverse people living here, who have been let down by a complacent Labour council time and time again. Bellingham deserves better.
Dickon’s three priorities are:
- Safer streets. The Labour council did not object to the closure of Catford Police Station, which means that the police are more detached from the local community. The children and young people of Bellingham deserve to walk the streets and fulfil their potential without fear, as we recover from Covid.
- Better local transport. Low Traffic Neighbourhood road closures in Lewisham restrict people’s freedom, block the emergency services, cause gridlock on main roads and will hinder our Covid recovery. Dickon will campaign for TfL to rezone Lower Sydenham and Beckenham Hill stations from Zone 4 to Zone 3, saving commuters to Central London almost £400 on annual season tickets.
- Ending flytipping. Positive solutions must be found to stop the dumping of rubbish around the local area. Bellingham residents must currently carry large household recycling to the single Lewisham tip in New Cross. This is a disgrace.
Dickon will fight, every step of the way, for the people of Bellingham. Lend him your vote this time, and let’s have better democracy in Lewisham.
