Lewisham Conservatives joined residents, veterans, and community groups at Remembrance services across the borough, paying tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Representatives attended the ceremony at the Lewisham and Deptford War Memorials, laying a wreath on behalf of the association and observing the two-minute silence at 11am.
“Standing shoulder to shoulder on Lewisham High Street, we paid tribute to those who gave everything for our freedom," said Sergiy Lesyk, Chairman
of Lewisham Conservative Federation.
“I had the honour of laying the Lewisham Conservative Wreath at the Deptford War Memorial this morning,” said Oliver Cliff, candidate for Grove Park.
We thank the Royal British Legion, local clergy, service families, cadets, and volunteers across Lewisham for organising dignified ceremonies and ensuring the Act of Remembrance continues at the heart of our community.
Lest we forget.
