Lewisham Conservatives Welcomes Winter Social Care Funding

Today, the government has announced how much additional funding local authorities in England will receive to ease pressures over winter thanks to our balanced approach to the economy, including £1,367,882 for Lewisham.

Lewisham Council Decide No Affordable Housing is Required

Lewisham Labour pledged to target 50% affordable housing over the next four years in new build properties throughout Lewisham. They have started by deciding that none are needed in the New Cross or Bell Green flats being built, even though it was a major pledge in their local manifesto.

Housing again an issue in Lewisham

Lewisham council have been warned by Labour Mayor of London Sadiq Khan that the Creekside development project does not have enough affordable housing allocated.


Labour are wasting our money on projects like trying to sell off land around Millwall F.C. Which the Chairman of Millwall says will push the club out of Lewisham. 

I work for an anti-fraud charity. I know that money needs to be spent carefully – not wasted on projects like this. 


It’s the same with our housing needs – which Labour are ignoring. Between 2006 and 2016, they only built SIX council homes. 

And they missed out on £42 million of funding for new homes – because they missed the deadline to apply. 


Ofsted rated Lewisham the worst borough in inner London for education. Having been to school in Lewisham, I’m passionate about making our schools better for the next generation.
