A strong, local voice for Crofton Park
We are delighted to announce Caitlin Pugh as our Conservative candidate for Crofton Park in the upcoming by-election.
Lewisham is Caitlin’s home, and over the past three years she has come to know and love the character, energy and community spirit of the borough. She believes Crofton Park is a special part of Lewisham, with green spaces, a valued independent businesses, local heritage and community facilities that residents rely on every day.
Professionally, Caitlin works for a Member of Parliament, supporting Parliamentary business and helping take up constituents’ causes on the issues that matter most to them. This experience has shown her how much difference a determined local representative can make when they listen carefully, follow up properly and focus on getting results.
Now, Caitlin wants to bring that same practical approach to Crofton Park and give something back to the community she cares about.
Caitlin’s priorities for Crofton Park are clear:
- Clean up our streets, with faster action on fly-tipping, overflowing bins and graffiti.
- Make our streets safer, especially around schools, stations, shops and busy roads, while supporting more opportunities for young people to thrive locally.
- Protect what makes Crofton Park special, from green spaces and heritage to the library, independent shops and community facilities.
- Support local businesses and helping Crofton Park’s high streets and shopping parades thrive.
- Hold Lewisham Council to account and ensuring residents get clear answers.
“Crofton Park residents work hard, raise families, build businesses and want the best for their community. They deserve a councillor who listens to them as individuals, never takes their support for granted, and stays focused on the local issues that affect daily life: safer streets, cleaner neighbourhoods, better opportunities for young people and support for local shops," Caitlin says. "I want to be a practical alternative voice on the council, focused on helping Crofton Park thrive."
